M&B had 7 swimmers in action at the Royal Commonwealth Pool over the weekend. Featuring a number of national and international stars, the competition offered the opportunity for the club's best to test themselves against the most competitive field on the domestic calendar.

Calum Mac returned to racing action for the first time since December with 3 long course personal bests (50 & 100 free, 50 breast) from 3 swims.

Abi H was within four hundredths of her best on 50 back, and around a second out on 100 back, as she, Iona H (0.3 outside her best on 50 free) and Emily D (0.6 off her 50m fly best) also joined the team at Cumbernauld for some short course racing, capping off a busy but really consistent couple of months of racing for the trio.

Kayden Mc set a pb in the 50m freestyle and swam within a hundredth of his long course best on 50m fly in a first long course outing since July.

Ruaraidh Mc swam best times in 50 & 100 breaststroke, and came within a couple of tenths of his pb on 50m freestyle - also in his first long course racing since last summer.

Rose Mc was 0.5s off her 50m freestyle best, and a couple of seconds outside her 100m freestyle after trying a completely new approach to the race.

Next up for the group is Scottish National Age Group Championships in Aberdeen in early April.
