Scottish Summer Meet - 11-14 July - Aberdeen
M&B swimmers finished the 2023-24 Scottish swimming season at the weekend, winning 6 medals and making 17 finals at the national summer championships in Aberdeen.
Calum Mac (50 free), Rose Mc (50 free) and Emily D (50 fly) each took superb silver medals on consecutive nights, all in personal best times.
Hayden S (100 & 200 breast) and Eilidh Mc (100 breast) finished with brilliant bronze medals - Hayden adding another to his growing national medal tally, and Eilidh getting her reward after narrowly missing podiums in other swims.
Joanna C (100 free - 10th (pb), 50 breast - 9th (pb), 50 fly - 10th), Annabel L (100 back - 6th, 200 back - 6th - (pbx4)), Calum Mac(100 breast - 7th - (pb), 100 back - 7th) and Iona H (50 free - 8th (pb)) completed the finalists - marking a first final at national level for Iona, an impressive four PBs in four swims from Annabel, and three finals from three (plus a swim off) for Joanna all in a single day.
Captains Abi H and Kayden Mc completed the swimming, in what was a fairly positive finish to the season for the group.
Thank you to parents for the support. Thank you to Nick Kirk (entries), and to all of the many volunteers across the club who give up their time every year to make it all possible.
